Cooperation with communities on the development of tourism in the regions is one of the important areas of work of the Association of Incoming Tour Operators of Ukraine . We are grateful to the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine for the invitation to speak at the conference "CONSTRUCTOR OF TOURISM STRATEGIES: A PRACTICAL TOOL FOR THE RESTORATION OF COMMUNITIES", which was held on July 25-26 in Kyiv and was attended by more than 100 representatives of regions from all over Ukraine.
During the panel discussion "Tourism as a catalyst for rapid economic and socio-cultural recovery of communities; the experience of post-war Europe" President of the Association Olena Kazmina
told what sums foreign and Ukrainian tourists leave while traveling in Ukraine;
gave examples of how funds paid by tourists work in communities;
drew attention to the need for communities to be ready to receive tourists, in particular regarding the availability of infrastructure - painful issues still remain roads and toilets, as well as the availability of local staff who speak foreign languages;
emphasized the importance of promoting regions as tourist destinations;
gave examples of how the Association works in international markets now, during a full-scale invasion, participating in international events and exhibitions.
We are open to cooperation with all regions that want to develop tourism. And as a business, we are interested in the formation of high-quality local components of tourist products that we can offer to our tourists.
