Nationwide survey on the effects of the war on the tourism industry of Ukraine

The impact of the war on tourism in Ukraine: a nationwide survey

2 years of full-scale war dealt a serious blow to the tourism industry of Ukraine. In order to assess the real state of affairs, the Association of Incoming Tour Operators of Ukraine , the Ukrainian Association of Hotels and Resorts UHRA - Ukrainian Hotel & Resort Association , the All-Ukrainian Association of Guides , the Ukrainian Restaurant Association and the State Tourism Development Agency of Ukraine jointly initiate a nationwide survey regarding the effects of the war on the tourism industry of Ukraine.

Your participation and opinion will help:

To outline a clear picture of the impact of the war on various sectors of the tourism industry: hotel business, tour operators, travel agents, catering establishments, guides and tourist support specialists.

To determine the most urgent problems faced by subjects of tourist activity in the conditions of war.

To form effective ways of supporting and developing tourism in Ukraine at the stage of post-war recovery.

Responses will only be used in aggregated form for research purposes. The survey is completely anonymous, so we encourage you to be honest and forthright in your responses. We hope that by joint efforts we will be able to get the much-needed analytics for the tourism market regarding its real state!

Responses are accepted until 18:00, July 24, 2024.

Additional information:

This survey and subsequent analysis is supported by Ibrahim Ost, Senior Economic Growth Advisor, Chemonics International, Professor of Management, George Washington University School of Business, and Laurie Pennington-Gray, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus, Director, Center for Economic Excellence in Tourism and Economic Development at the Richardson University of South Carolina. Their experience and analysis will provide valuable information for a detailed study aimed at supporting joint efforts to preserve and revive the tourism and hospitality industry in Ukraine.
